About Lottie viewer
Lottie viewer plays a Lottie animation right on this page, with no After Effects or project setup. Drop a JSON or .lottie file and it starts at once.
Use it to check an animation before it ships: step through the frames, try different speeds and backgrounds, and read its size, frame rate, duration and layer count. The file stays in your browser and is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Lottie file?
A Lottie file describes a vector animation as data, usually exported from After Effects with the Bodymovin plugin. It is a JSON file, or a compressed .lottie file that can also hold images and several animations.
Are my animations uploaded?
No. The file is read and played in your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and no account is needed.
Why does my animation look different here?
Players do not all support the same features. Some After Effects expressions and effects may not play the same way, so check important animations in your target app too.
Can it convert Lottie to GIF or MP4?
Not yet. This tool plays and inspects animations and saves single frames as PNG. If a .lottie file holds several animations, it plays the first and shows how many there are.
