EXIF metadata remover
EXIF Remover – Remove Photo Metadata and GPS Location. No watermark added by QuickConvertOnline. Free, no account needed.
About EXIF metadata remover
The EXIF metadata remover strips hidden information from your photos before you share them. Phone and camera pictures often contain the exact GPS location where they were taken, the date and time, and the device model. Re-encoding the image in your browser produces a clean copy that contains only the picture itself.
It is useful for anyone posting photos online, selling items on marketplaces or sending pictures to people they do not know. Up to 20 images can be cleaned at once. Because the work happens on your device, the original files with their metadata are never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
What metadata does this tool remove?
The image is redrawn and saved as a new file, so embedded metadata is not carried over. That includes EXIF fields such as GPS location, camera model, lens and capture date, as well as other embedded tags like XMP and IPTC.
Does it remove the GPS location from my photo?
Yes. GPS coordinates are stored in the EXIF data, which is not copied into the re-encoded image. You can confirm this by opening the cleaned file in the image metadata viewer.
Does removing EXIF data reduce image quality?
PNG files are re-saved losslessly. JPG and WebP files are re-encoded at the quality you choose, which can lose a small amount of detail. Raise the slider toward 100% to keep the picture as close to the original as possible.
Do social networks already remove EXIF data?
Many large platforms strip metadata from public images, but not all services do, and files sent by email, cloud links or some messaging apps often keep it. Removing it yourself means you do not have to rely on each service.
