Frequently asked questions
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
Very close, but not always identical. PDFs store fixed positions and Word lays text out itself, so a line can wrap differently when a font is not installed on your computer.
Can it convert a scanned PDF?
A scan is a picture of a page, so that page stays a picture in the document and you are told how many pages this affects. Text recognition (OCR) is not included.
What is the difference between DOCX and DOC?
DOCX is the current Word format and keeps the most detail. The DOC option is a Rich Text file with a .doc name, which every version of Word opens directly.
