QR code as PNG or SVG
Create a QR code and download it as a crisp PNG up to 2048 × 2048 px or a scalable SVG vector for print. Includes a quiet zone border and no watermark.
About QR code as PNG or SVG
This tool focuses on getting a QR code in the right file format. Download a PNG image at 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels square for documents, websites and slides, or an SVG vector that stays sharp at any size for print, signage and design software.
Both files are rendered with crisp, square modules and a standard quiet zone of four modules around the code, so scanners can find its edges. Everything is generated in your browser from the content you enter, with no watermark or account.

Frequently asked questions
Should I download PNG or SVG?
Choose SVG for print and design work, because it is a vector and stays sharp at any size. Choose PNG for documents, presentations, email and websites, or for any app that does not accept SVG files.
Which PNG size do I need for printing?
At 300 dpi, a 1024 px PNG prints sharply at about 8.7 cm (3.4 inches) wide, and a 2048 px PNG at about 17 cm (6.8 inches). For anything larger, use the SVG, which has no resolution limit.
What is the border around the code?
It is the quiet zone, an empty margin four modules wide that scanners need to locate the code. It uses your background color. Do not crop it off, and avoid placing text or graphics right against the code.
Can I edit the SVG in a design program?
Yes. The SVG contains a background rectangle and a single path for the modules, so you can open it in vector editors, recolor it or place it in a layout. Scale it evenly, since stretching distorts the modules.
