About Remove empty lines
The empty line remover deletes lines that contain no visible text, including lines containing only spaces or tabs. Lines that contain text remain in their original order.
This is useful for compacting a list copied from an email, spreadsheet or document. It intentionally removes paragraph gaps, so use it for lists rather than prose whose blank lines define useful structure.
How to use Remove empty lines
- Paste or open the text that contains unwanted blank lines.
- Keep Remove empty selected in the toolbar.
- Inspect the remaining lines in Output.
- Copy or download the cleaned text, or switch to another line mode.

Frequently asked questions
Are lines with tabs or spaces removed?
Yes, if trimming the line leaves no content. A line with an actual word or symbol remains.
Will it trim spaces around the other lines?
No. The remaining lines are returned unchanged. Use Whitespace cleanup if you also want to trim and collapse spaces.
Will paragraph breaks disappear?
Yes. Blank-line paragraph separators are removed, so use this tool only when that is intended.
Is my text uploaded or saved?
The tool processes the text in this page, on your device. It does not send the input to a conversion service or save it to an account. Advertising and ordinary website requests are separate from this local text processing. Copy or download any result you want to keep before leaving the tool.
