Title case converter
Capitalize the first letter of each word for simple headings and labels. Preview title case locally, then copy or download the converted result.
About Title case converter
The title case converter first lowercases the text and then capitalizes word starts. It produces a simple “Each Word” style for headings, labels and short lists.
Case conversion follows JavaScript’s Unicode casing rules rather than a language-specific editorial style guide. Proofread proper names, acronyms and words with language-dependent casing before publishing the result.
How to use Title case converter
- Paste or open your source text in Input.
- Keep Title Case selected and inspect names, abbreviations and small words.
- Compare Input with the automatically updated Output.
- Use Copy or Download to keep the result; Reset restores the tool’s starting mode.
Features
- Offers seven prose and identifier case modes in the same interface.
- Keeps the original input visible beside the converted output.
- Applies Unicode casing for upper, lower, title and sentence styles.
- Code-case modes normalize accents and retain ASCII letters and digits as identifier words.
Common uses
- Giving a short list of labels a uniform display style.
- Drafting a heading before applying an editorial style guide.
- Repairing inconsistent capitalization in a copied title list.
Tips
- Check proper names and acronyms manually. For code-case output, non-Latin scripts may be removed instead of transliterated.
Frequently asked questions
What does the selected mode produce?
The starting mode is illustrated by “A Simple Title”. You can switch modes in the toolbar without re-entering the original text.
Does this follow AP, Chicago or another title style?
No. Title Case capitalizes word starts mechanically and does not maintain a style-guide list of small words, names or abbreviations. Sentence case also needs a final check of proper names.
Can case conversion change meaning or identifiers?
Yes. Converting a password, case-sensitive identifier or acronym can change its meaning or behavior. Use a copy and review the result before replacing an original value.
Is my text uploaded or saved?
The tool processes the text in this page, on your device. It does not send the input to a conversion service or save it to an account. Advertising and ordinary website requests are separate from this local text processing. Copy or download any result you want to keep before leaving the tool.
